Well, the lovely weather has fled for a day or two, and the rains are here. We need that, the flowers need that and so do the robins. They are hopping around and looking for goodies in the lawn. Pretty soon they will be building their nests and raising their chicks. I would suggest that if you get a lot of hair in your hairbrush, now is the time to put it outside and let the birds use it to line their nests. I have done that, and if I get my hair cut I take the cuttings and do the same at this time of year. I can’t tell you the number of nests I found later after the babies are grown up, and my hair lined the nest and kept the chicks from getting poked by the sticks building the nest. Neat! Some folks have put out cotton for the birds to pull and line nests, too!
