The Moon Perfume Oil

Dante took a trip to Paradise. To get there he had to traverse the Solar System and passed the bodies which were known back in his day. The first one he encounters is the Moon, the "silvered orb which rules the night". White long silky spun threads of three white musks combined with an almost creamy insinuation of white beeswax carrying a very sophisticated edge. Not a foody blend despite the sweetness of beeswax. The Moon will intrigue you and tickle you at the same time, a little like falling in love. Ethereal but warm. Very skin-like and sexily calming. This one has a My Sin vibe to it, the best of vintage perfumery brought up to date in the 21st century.

This is yet another white musk and vanilla with a tinge of acid, though I think this one leans into the acidity more than the others on my skin. Comes off as floral on me. That’s…honestly really all I have to add. It’s nice! You’ll like it if you like the silvers. On me, it’s pretty plain, so I might keep it for layering.

    Expected impression: Ooo! ★★★★

Actual: Nice ★★★ It’s fine! Absolutely fine. But only so.

I was about to write “probably my favorite Possets” but I love another (Lady and the Unicorn) also – they’re just so different. The Moon is a beautiful, comforting, creamy musk. This is an easy-wear scent if you like creamy skin scents. I don’t get any “acidity” like the other reviewer mentioned, or floral. It’s just pure, neutral, creamy musk. Huge love for me, one of my favorite indie scents in general.
