Smells almost identical to tide pods for the laundry

This opened with a hit of citrus fruit when I first applied it — not acidic, but round and mellow. That settled to a sharper, fresher scent — the ginger maybe? — and after about an hour, the orange note crept back into the mix. This is fresher and airier than the wintry gourmand-incense-musk blends I have been enjoying and it does seem to be a perfect seasonal for the return of the sun. I love the name; the label art looks like it comes from the alchemical treatise Splendor Solis; the sample arrived just after a solar eclipse with my purchase of the gentle Beatrice — full marks on synchronicity, Possets! I have never used Tide Pods, so I can’t speak to the review above — except to say that if Tide really offers this scent, the world is a better-smelling place!
