I typically don’t go for descriptions such as this, but this is my new favorite out of about 24 samples. It is indeed comforting and gentle, slightly woody slightly sweet. The vanilla doesn’t smell fake or too strong. I’ve ordered a full size of this.

Move over, sandalwood, there’s a new vanilla pairing in town. Silver Cedar is an amazingly beautiful, harmonious blend of woodsy non-gourmand rich vanilla. No hint of pencil shavings here. As the previous reviewer said, comforting. That’s a great descriptor.
