One of the oldest neighborhoods and most diverse in Cincinnati, Over-the-Rhine is where artists rub shoulders with inner city dwellers and businessmen hustle their way through lawyers and clients. Police and priests, journalists and corporate headquarters types moving to and fro in a city where they swear nothing ever changes, but you know it does in amazing ways. Contains notes of Amber, Vanilla, Black Pepper, Clove Bud, Molasses, Dark Musk, and Vetiver.
Characteristics: spicy, warm, unisex, resinous.

JOANN WHEELER –
Hard to believe there is no review of this — I think it is one of the early Posset foundation scents — but it is in fact hard to describe. It’s a spicy but not foody blend that tickles the nose (cloves?), like garam masala, but with something in there to lighten the mix. I have never visited Cincinnati, but I love neighborhoods with lots of diversity and it seems like this is what they are aiming to capture in this perfume. I have had this sample stashed away — opened — for some twenty years and it still keeps its character. I am so glad I opened that box of tiny vials!
