An unabashed tribute to a genius who still remains one of the leading lights of psychology and romance. Mary Shelley defied convention before it was "done" and brought in the light on the liberation of women and of the heart. She is the author of Frankenstein, the first horror story written in the English language and one of the first fantastic psychological works of fiction ever. Blond teakwood and smooth sweetbriar dance somberly with black Mexican vanilla and a hint of boxwood for gravity. The combination of these essences is really superb, rich and an almost wise fragrance. And yes, that is a portrait of Mary Shelley.

E.E. –
Out of the bottle I get a sort of apple/pear smell (neither is listed as a note) and subtle bit of wood. On me all I can smell is a fruity kind of vanilla, but my skin always amplifies vanilla. I was hoping to get the boxwood notes but I could never really detect them throughout wearing it. It’s nice, not my thing but I wouldnt complain about smelling it on someone else.
