When I was in my teens, I used to love the fresh, green, wet smell of cucumber shampoo, which I bought by the quart. I don’t know why I never thought to try Possets Cucumbre until they kindly sent me a sample with my purchase of Beatrice. I think it will be perfect for the peak of summer, when it is so hot, all you want to eat is fresh, chilled cucumber salad dressed in buttermilk and mint. Think about a hot terrace on the island of Crete — or the humid midsummer back porch in middle America. I am going to save this one up for the times when the AC has failed and what I need is a sense of pure refreshment.

Another beautiful recommendation from Possets! I would never have thought to combine crisp, cool cucumber with a dark and mysterious chypre base, but it works fabulously–a study in contrast, perhaps? Each stage of the Cucumbre experience is unexpected, fun, and playfully sophisticated. Love!
