Vivaldi’s Four Seasons are justifiably famous and Autumn is probably the best loved. Not all of the haunting music is sad and dreary, some is a perfect picture of this time of year. The music and the perfume remind me of the time of year when spice becomes important, richer more golden tones are in vogue, and snuggling is best. Carnation and sandalwood, mulling spices, a small amount of black patchouli, a bit of black musk. I get the impression of cold air outside and warmth inside. Spicy and great for fall canoodling. Earthy and appealing.
