Autumn (Vivaldi) Perfume Oil

Vivaldi's Four Seasons are justifiably famous and Autumn is probably the best-loved. Not all of the haunting music is sad and dreary, some is a perfect picture of this time of year. The music and the perfume remind me of the time of year when spice becomes important, richer more golden tones are in vogue, and snuggling is best. Carnation and sandalwood, mulling spices, a small amount of black patchouli, and a bit of black musk. You will get the impression of cold air outside and warmth inside. Spicy and great for fall canoodling. Earthy and appealing.

I don’t think I’ve come across a Possets carnation scent that I didn’t like. This does indeed smell like a scent suited for the Fall. At times, the mulling spices can be a bit too strong but with wear they settle down nicely. I’ve paired this with Silver Carnation to tamp down the spice (the silver base does a stellar job at this) and give an additional layer of the carnation flower.

Very spicey indeed, the background musk and patchouli definitely give it that fall feeling. It’s very strong, a little goes a loooong way.
